Dr. Courtney Scott is our medical director/doctor. Dr. Scott has obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, from Loyola Marymount University, coursework in Business Administration from UMass Amherst, and of course a degree as a Doctor of Medicine from Keck USC School of Medicine.
Dr. Scott is an award-winning physician. He won the AFAM/LMKU Kenneth Award in Scholarly Achievements in Psychology, as well as outstanding performance for his knowledge in internal medicine. He was recognized three (3) years in a row from Keck School of Medicine at USC. He has also been recognized by the African American A-HeFT, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and the Obesity and Outcome in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia for his research performances.
Dr. Scott is a board-eligible physician in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. He brings an understanding, and ability to work well in a busy and/or stressful environment to the behavioral health care industry. He has extensive knowledge of MAT protocols and is certified as a physician to have the most up-to-date information regarding Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT). He started his career early in 2010 working in internal medicine and quickly saw a need for medical professionals with the understanding and knowledge of addiction. Dr. Scott was able to work his way into the behavioral health care industry from 2015 to the present. He is one of the most popular medical doctors in the behavioral health care industry due to his empathy towards the patients and his strict policies with medication management.
Dr. Scott has taken the time to train his medical team in treating each patient with the utmost understanding both clinically and medically. All clients are provided the same treatment regardless of their situation.
Adam provides all-encompassing marketing and advertising expertise to anyone looking to grow their business. Being able to always keep an open mind, Adam is the first to know about all things contemporary and state-of-the-art. Having spent the past eight years working with some of the biggest companies, Adam has mastered the various forms of marketing and advertising. Understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to marketing, he uses his creative thought process to find the best approach to help his clients achieve success.
Adam brings over eight years of high-volume operational experience to the substance abuse and mental health industry. His vast amount of knowledge in all things digital advertising has been instrumental in building the organization. Reaching all facets of a successful substance abuse multi-location organization, Adam’s expertise allows him to excel at leading team supervision of new acquisitions, ramping-up staffing, call center integration, generating new leads, admissions, accounting and collections.
Daniel Cincotta
Daniel Cincotta holds a degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance from Florida Atlantic University . Danny has worked in various roles including admissions, mergers & acquisitions, and most recently facility operations at the executive level. Danny has eight years of experience and specializes in launching new facilities, growing existing facilities, facility turn around and quality improvement.
Danny brings to the Diamond Recovery team expertise in operational experience across a multitude of different states. He possesses a natural ability to lead others and motivate his teams to improve daily. With a strong command of process and protocol he organizes his teams to operate effectively in order to deliver the highest quality level of client care.
When not working Danny spends his time either on the beach, in the gym or watching New York Rangers hockey.
Allison Trim attended Temple University studying Public Health, which gave her a firm understanding of how to tackle societal problems systematically. Her education coupled with her personal experience in recovery affords her the expertise and compassion to truly help individuals struggling with mental health or substance use disorders. Allison is also a certified interventionist (CNDAI II) with the ability to provide many resources for family members seeking help for their loved ones.
Allison has worked in the behavioral health field for the last 5 years. She has played a pivotal role in assisting behavioral health facilities to grow and create processes and procedures to ensure that each patient is treated based on their individual needs. Allison has extensive experience in providing each patient and their family with the support they need to not just survive but to truly heal and thrive and maintain lasting recovery.
Nicole Smigielski
Nicole Smigielski holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Addictions Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University along with being a Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant (CADAC).
For the past nine years, Nicole has dedicated her life to helping others that struggle with substance abuse disorders. Her passion and drive in this field comes from “giving back what she was given”.
Nicole has worked in many roles including case management, business development and facility operations management at an executive level. Having a clinical and operational background has broadened her scope of work as she specializes in opening facilities, staff training, legal liaison work along with state licensure and regulations.
When not working, you can find Nicole enjoying the sun near any body of water, watching Notre Dame football in the fall and spending time with her two children.
Zachary Levenson
Zachary joins the Diamond Recovery team with over 12 years of experience in business operations and a specialty in managerial accounting. He has led teams of up to 100 employees and successfully overseen multi-million-dollar projects. Proficient in managing cash flows within multi-level corporate structures, Zachary brings financial acumen to the Diamond endeavor. Beyond the boardroom, his passions drive an active lifestyle — cycling, running, and golf are his go-to pursuits for physical well-being. When not in motion, he cherishes moments with his dogs, offering them his undivided attention. Zachary’s journey is a blend of professional expertise and a commitment to a balanced, fulfilling life both inside and outside the business arena.
Rachel Kessler is the Director of Business Development at Diamond Recovery. With a dynamic career spanning over three years as an Admissions Manager at a renowned addiction treatment facility, Rachel has successfully utilized her extensive expertise to propel the growth and innovation of Diamond Recovery.
Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, Rachel’s dedication to making a positive impact in the recovery industry is unwavering. She is deeply committed to facilitating positive change, forging strong connections within the community, and empowering individuals to realize their full potential through the transformative journey of recovery.
Drawing upon her comprehensive understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals seeking recovery, Rachel approaches business development with a strategic mindset and empathetic perspective. Her primary focus lies in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for those in need, ensuring that Diamond Recovery remains at the forefront of effective and evidence-based addiction treatment.

My name is Peter Mahan and I was born in Danville, PA. When I was 7 years old I moved to Marlton, NJ with my father, mother, and brother. I was fortunate enough to attend all private school from kindergarten all the way through freshman year of high school. The household I grew up in was extremely loving and caring so I was given pretty much every opportunity to succeed from a young age.Â
When I was 12 years old my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away shortly after. Watching my father deteriorate just within a 6 month period was extremely devastating and traumatic for my family and I to go through. My father was an active member in Alcoholics Anonymous and passed away with 20 years of sobriety. Throughout my childhood I was blessed enough to grow up in a household that didn’t contain any drugs or alcohol in it.Â
Shortly after my father’s death I was involved in an extremely bad bike accident which almost led to me getting my leg amputated. After numerous surgeries and skin graphs the doctors were able to reconstruct my leg. Those surgeries led to me getting prescribed pain medications from an early age which is where my addiction all began. At the age of 13 I began to experiment with marijuana and alcohol.Â
Recreational drug use led to a full blown opiate addiction by the age of 16 which caused me to be the worst version of myself for the next 10 years. After 23 treatment stays and just a few incarcerations later I decided it was time for a change. In 2020 I took a leap of faith and God granted me the willingness to change my life and I haven’t looked back since. I firmly believe the only reason why I continue to stay sober today is because I simply help others and give back what was so freely given to me.Â
I’m blessed enough to say working in behavioral health isn’t something I consider as my “job” because I can proudly say I love what I do. Over the last 4 years I’ve poured my blood sweat and tears into being a behavioral health technician, admissions coordinator, business development rep/director and it has all come back to me full circle. At Diamond Behavioral Health we’re here to help all of those struggling with addiction and mental health concerns on a greater scale. I look forward to watching millions of individuals transform their lives into something that they never thought was possible like mine.Â
Jake Slater Morris

Jake Morris is a strategic HR leader with 4+ years of demonstrated ability to develop a strategic staffing vision, shape corporate culture, and empower organizational change. His passion derives from championing initiatives at the strategic, tactical, and operational level to increase internal alignment, leading to external competitiveness. He attended Florida International University (FIU) for undergraduate and graduate school. Jake obtained his undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in Law, Business, and Society. He also obtained his graduate degree in Human Resource Management (MSHRM).
Salina is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). Salina’s decision to enter the field of mental health was driven by her desire to help those struggling from psychiatric disorders. Salina believes in collaborative and patient-centered approach, assessing each person to create an individualized treatment plan to meet their mental, physical and emotional needs.
Salina possesses strong clinical skills and ability to build rapport with patients and families. Outside of clinical practice, Salina is a professor at a local university teaching mental health and medical surgical nursing to future nurses. As both a clinical practitioner and a professor she has gained extensive experience delivering services to patients and spreading mental health awareness.
With over 10 years of progressive experience in clinical settings, demonstrating an understanding of healthcare operations, patient care, and staff management… Krystyl has successfully led various teams with developing new programs, achieving notable patient care outcomes, and spearheading initiatives that improved staff engagement and retention that directly improved a client centered approach.
Matthew is an accomplished professional with a wealth of expertise and qualifications in the field of addiction recovery. With more than 8 years of experience as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II), Matthew has dedicated his career to helping individuals overcome substance abuse and reclaim their lives.
